LUTHERAN SCHOOLS of GREATER NEW ORLEANS is an extension of the ministry of the Southern District - LCMS and its Schools Committee. It assists by God’s grace in the development, continuation, growth, and enhancement of Lutheran educators and schools.
LUTHERAN SCHOOLS of GREATER NEW ORLEANS:
- are driven by the commitment to the gospel. Christ is the center of our lives and we teach and reflect values based on truths drawn from the Bible.
- support educators to address the needs of the whole child -- intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually.
- promote the active involvement of parents/family to connect home with school. We strive to prepare students for life success.
- support educators and schools to meet or exceed state and national academic standards at all grade levels. We prepare students for educational success.
- help educators prepare students to live successfully, nurturing a passion for service to God and to one another. We prepare students to be exemplary citizens and be equipped to "make disciples" for Christ throughout their lives.
- support schools to employ dedicated and well-trained teachers. Our teachers care about students and their individual success.
- provide on-going professional training for Lutheran educators through workshops, a network of communication and ideas, and support for teachers’ continuing education.
- build diverse Christian communities of teachers, students, and families that emphasize growing together in using and sharing one's faith.
Lutheran schools provide a high quality, Christ-centered educational environment for students of all ages, from preschool through high school and beyond.
Our Lutheran schools are associated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LC-MS) and are located in its Southern District. If you would like to learn more about the LC-MS and Southern District - LCMS beliefs, please click here.
